I designed an advertisement for Marumi, a japanese restaurant. I took a photo of their sushi, edited it in Adobe Photoshop, and used that photo in the final design. My target audience was high-end customers, To do this, I chose a serif font style to connect to and communicate a formal restaurant experience. Additionally, I used a purple background since the color purple is associated with luxury, power, ambition, extravagance, and dignity. I used soft colors to contrast with the brightness of the sushi, and to provide relief from bright flashy advertisements seen elsewhere.
The goal was to create a Digital Album cover. This design is for an artist known as Juice WRLD. It includes color alteration where I highlighted his hair, masking an image in text, and blending a separate image into the background. I chose to make this album cover because I believe that his music spreads a positive message. I tried to make the images in this album cover reflect the themes of his music. His eyes are blacked out since he’s dead.
The goal for this project was to create a retro soda can design and advertisement. I researched popular color schemes, designs, and slogans from the 1970s and used 7up’s logo style from that decade to create a retro styled design. The 7up logo stands out from the rest of the design and provides balance. I wanted this design to evoke a sense of nostalgia.
I took this photo of a crow on a tombstone in a cemetery in Paris. I was struck by the intensity of the crow that looked almost like a statue. I edited the colors of various elements in the photo, specifically, I blackened the background to make it seem as if the crow was protecting the tomb from darkness, and I made the crow appear more visually stunning.
This banner was created for EaseGoods, a company that sells goods online. I used a gradient background to give the banner depth and dimensionality. I also added some subtle shadows to enhance the visual appeal of the television screens.
This is a 1956 Chevrolet Corvette Impala concept car. I chose this car specifically because it feels sleek and elegant. Even though this is a concept car it feels like it could be an iconic car. This is a vector file, meaning it can be resized without losing quality. This project gave me vast experience working with the Pen tool to create vector graphics.
